Day 2: Carry On


A belonging is all we want...

What happens to a society in which everyone is living in fear?

We see it all around us. This fear manifests in either a “fight” response — judgement, distrust of institutions, hate of the other, even hate of ourselves; or a “flight” response — turning to a world of digital diversions, isolation, and removal from physical reality. 

Our politicians — one in particular — have weaponized this fear to divide us.  The news media leverages this fear to get more views and clicks.  The advertisers prey on this fear to sell us things we don’t need because we think they will make us feel better.

What we are really craving is connection. Community. Love. But more often than not, we just carry on with the same patterns we have become so familiar with.
